HOME CARE CO-ORDINATOR
Location: North Birmingham
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £20,000 - £21,500 (dependant on experience)
Due to exciting developments and expanding business, we now have a newly created position for an experienced, well organised and driven Care Co-ordinator to join us. Established 160 years ago, New Outlook provides a spectrum of housing, care and support services.
Working closely with the registered manager, you will organise the day to day running of our growing home care/domiciliary service. Responsive, calm and with great communication and time management skills, you will need a sound understanding of good care principles and regulations. Your ability to multi-task, cope well under pressure and deal with change and emergencies is vital. So is your confidence in supporting, managing and developing a team of trustworthy, well trained and reliable care workers.
This is a very varied role which includes; rota management, scheduling, supervising staff, home visits, supporting service users and families, liaising with external agencies, completing risk assessments, responding to new referrals and enquiries amongst the main duties. Naturally, you’ll also have sound administration and Microsoft office skills and be able to maintain accurate up to date records.
A driving licence and access to a vehicle for business purposes is essential and you will need to work your hours flexibly across the week, to include on-call and weekends, as the service demands.
