Senior Care Assistant - Inspirations Care Home Ltd


We have a vacancy for a Senior Care Assistant based on a 30 hr a week contract.

What we are looking for is as follows:

Personal Qualities

Leadership abilities.

Flexible approach to meet the needs of the home.

Good interpersonal skills.



NVQ Level 2 + 3.

Four years of experience in care (some as a senior).

Willingness to work towards Level 5.

I.T Skills.

General Aspects

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

To support the Manager in the overall management of the home and assume responsibilities of the Manager in her absence.

Promote Inspirations to external stakeholders.

To have good knowledge of CQC and requirements with the ability to manage an Inspection.

Produce a monthly written report for Care Manager.

Undertake staff supervisions.

Monitor new/junior staff.

Interviewing and induction of new staff.

To act as a key worker, having responsibility for all aspects of care planning, risk assessments, monitoring, evaluation of service user needs, engaging with families.

Source of advice for other staff.

To help with the organisation of social activities and participate in them to help promote service user esteem and physical wellbeing.

To accompany service users on outings.

Monitor performance of other staff to ensure all task are completed to a high satisfactory standard.

To help maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home with regard to all relevant policies.

To read and write reports and to hold and participate in staff and service user meetings.

Completion of duty sheets, ensuring any sickness / absences is covered appropriately.
