The Association offers the crucial support Care providers require to deliver sustainable excellence within community, nursing, special needs and residential home settings.

A raft of far-ranging services enables members to spend more hours doing what they do best - care - while we carry out essential, time-consuming tasks necessary for CQC compliance and business

Advice

on care business management matters and signposting to agencies and members who could possibly assist.

 

Financial benefits

Members can obtain substantial discounts from prime care sector suppliers. These include Citation, CHIS, JLA, Fireco, and Aid Call. Preferential rates also apply for some legal banking and energy sourcing services.

Legal Helpline

In conjunction with care sector lawyers Harrison Clark, the Association runs a free legal helpline.

 

Liaison and lobbying

The Association is in regular information exchanges with Social Services, MPs, CQC and training agencies.

Rates negotiation and representation

The Association Directors act as advocates and negotiators in discussing fair and equitable rates for services provided to local authorities. All final agreements are subject to membership approval.

 

DBS Disclosure (previously CRB)

Operating as a members' only umbrella group for disclosures, the association ensures efficient processing at the lowest industry rates. Enhanced disclosures are currently £50, plus £8 for a DBS Adult First. Non-member charges: £73 each, plus £20 for a DBS Adult First.

Training

A regular schedule of training is organised by the Association as well as promoting details of all local courses

 

Bed vacancy database

Details of members' vacancies, including respite and day-care beds, are updates daily, published on our website and circulated to key personnel within local authorities and health services.

Free business listings

We offer a free, public access, pictorial directory listing on our website promoting their services

 

Fire risk helpline

Risk management specialist STK operate a free helpline for our members.
